Claire Spofford returns to J.Jill
Claire Spofford has been named the new CEO of J.Jill, with plans to assume the role no later than February 15, 2021. She’s returning to the company after several years with Cornerstone Brands.
Jim Scully will continue as interim CEO during this transition time, a role he’s held for the last ten months.
Ms Spofford, who will also become part of the board of directors, has more than 20 years of experience in retail, most recently serving as president of Cornerstone Brands. Prior to her time with Cornerstone Brands, Ms Spofford was senior vice president and chief marketing officer of J.Jill. She said she is “honored to rejoin the team”.
Michael Rahamim, chairman of the board, said he was “excited to welcome Claire back to the J.Jill organisation”.
