San Francisco-based clothing brand Everlane has launched a new collection of denim shorts, baggy jeans and a jacket, which uses GOTS-certified organic cotton.

Everlane has committed to moving all of its cotton to certified organic by 2023.

The brand’s sustainability director, Katina Boutis, said the arrival of this new collection, which Everlane has called Clean Denim Line, was a significant step on the way to meeting the 2023 target. She told Forbes: “Over 70% of our fabrics contain cotton and we know it is important to use materials with a lower environmental impact. Organic cotton systems promote healthier soil, cleaner water, and are safer for farmers and their local communities.”
