Business excellence programme gathers at Jeanologia headquarters

Specialist textile finishing technology developer Jeanologia hosted a business excellence event at its headquarters on September 30.
CRE100DO, a programme that launched in 2014 with the backing of finance and export promotions bodies, aims to promote excellence among middle-ranking businesses in Spain. Its name (pronounced ‘creciendo’) is the Spanish word for ‘growing’.
A hundred business, with a combined turnover of €16 billion and a combined workforce of 85,000 people, make up the group.
Jeanologia hosted fellow members of the group at its headquarters in Valencia and its founder and chief executive, Enrique Silla, was one of the principal speakers on the day.
“Sustainability is not our objective,” he told fellow business leaders, “it’s our business model, our raison d’être. People and the planet come before profit. We want to help our customers change the way they produce textiles and we walk that path with them, offering them the best service.” He said sustainability was a way for companies to save costs. “It’s good for business,” he said.
He said Jeanologia was aiming to be the best “for the world”, rather than the best in the world, and that sustainability would be a basic requirement for being able to compete in future.
