Turkish denim mill has released more details of the new collections it has been working on with textile chemicals developer Archroma.

The companies jointly announce ContraBlack on July 3, describing it as a low-impact, laser- and laundry-friendly denim line. They also said it was an industry first because it uses aa new concept from Archroma, Denim Halo.

According to Archroma, Denim Halo is a pre-treatment and dyeing process that can “revolutionise denim production” by making fabric that is “laser-friendly and effortlessly washable”.

Benefits to denim mills include the ability to produce enhanced laser effects, intense dark black colours and vintage looks while achieving resource savings.
