Specialist sewing thread producers American & Efird and Gütermann have opened a new technical sewing centre in India. The two companies are part of the Elevate Textiles group, along with Cone Denim and fabric manufacturer Burlington.

The new facility, located in Bawal in the state of Haryana in northern India, will serve as a creative hub and as a workspace in which cut-and-sew customers can evaluate new developments.

President of American & Efird, Chris Alt, who presided at the opening of the new centre, said: “The new technical centre is an example of our dedication to innovation and education for our clients. We want people to know they have a partner and resource with A&E and Gütermann.”
