Expansion for Elevate Textiles with new A&E factory
Elevate Textiles, the parent group of Cone Denim, has announced that one of its specialist thread manufacturing companies, American & Efird (A&E), has opened a new manufacturing facility. Its latest factory, the twenty-fourth across the A&E network, is in Chattogram, Bangladesh.
It said opening a factory in the busy port city of Chattogram (also known as Chittagong), will enhance its capacity to meet the increasing demand for innovative thread solutions in Bangladesh and across Asia.
The new factory will complement one that the group already has in place in Gazipur, near the country’s capital city, Dhaka, increasing A&E’s production capacity, improving service levels, reducing lead times and enabling it “to continue delivering premium-quality thread products to customers worldwide with greater efficiency”.
Chief executive, Jeffrey Pritchett, said the expansion was also a reflection of A&E’s long-term vision for growth and its commitment to providing innovative thread solutions to the garment industry.
