Sustainability efforts help Cone Denim parent group to ‘push new boundaries’

Elevate Textiles, the parent group of Conde Denim, American & Efird (A&E), Burlington and Gütermann, has published its sustainability report for 2025.

Achievements the report highlights include reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and water consumption across its production facilities in 2024. The group also registered its best safety performance in more than a decade.

In addition, Elevate launched its largest solar energy project to date and announced further installation of solar panels for 2025.

The report also celebrates the opening of a new sewing-thread facility in Bangladesh. It explained that this new facility is located on preserved green space in a dedicated Korean export processing zone.

Elevate’s chief executive, Jeffrey Pritchett, added that these efforts and actions were allowing the group “to create more sustainable threads and fabrics and push new boundaries for our customers”.

“Looking back on 2024, I am incredibly proud of the progress Cone Denim has made in sustainability,” said Cone Denim president, Steve Maggard. “I celebrated 30 years with Cone this year, and being able to witness and shape the impact we have had has been a gift. In 2024, we launched our first solar project, had incredible, industry-shaping collaborations, and exceeded several sustainability goals.”
