Growth for Kontoor Brands

Clothing group Kontoor Brands has reported revenues of just under $1.3 billion for the first six months of 2025. This is an increase of 3% year on year.

The company said that it had benefited in the second quarter from its acquisition of Helly Hansen. It completed its acquisition of the Norwegian outdoor brand in June 2025.

“Our strong second quarter results were driven by better-than-expected organic revenue growth, gross margin expansion, operating efficiency and cash generation, as well as a stronger-than-expected contribution from Helly Hansen,” said Kontoor Brands chief executive, Scott Baxter. “We welcomed Helly Hansen to the Kontoor family in June and the integration is off to a great start.”

Group revenues for the second quarter were $658 million, with Helly Hansen contributing $26.7 billion. This was growth of 8% year on year.

Kontoor’s other main brands are Wrangler and Lee. The first of these denim brands has brought growth, contributing six-month revenues of $881.5 million, up by 5% compared to the same period last year.

For Lee, however, the figures were negative. Its revenues for the January-June period were $365.5 million, down by 7% year on year.

Mr Baxter said Kontoor Brands was raising its full-year outlook for 2025. He insisted the group would be able largely to offset the impact of higher tariff rates thanks to the strength of its brands, the agility of its supply chain and an initiative it calls Project Jeanius.

It launched Project Jeanius at the start of 2024 with the aim of reducing complexity, improving speed to market and leveraging advanced data analytics to enhance business insights and decision-making.
