Redress Award salutes circular monofibre collection

Hugo Dumas’ Peri-Urbans capsule collection is not only made from recycled cotton fibres, supplied by Recover, but also designed for future circularity. External elements are all easy to remove. The outer fabric is made from a blend of Recover recycled cotton fibres with RCS-certified organic cotton and the filler used as a padding in the quilted styles is 100% recycled cotton.
“I’ve come to understand that creation is pollution, that every garment, even when designed to last, is meant to be seen as ‘soon-to-be-waste’. My collection meets the criteria of the ESPR rules, because by planning their end of life, we also plan their next life,” said Mr Dumas.
First prize winners receive mentorship, supported by DHL, an opportunity to showcase their collections at the Shanghai GREENEXT Expo 2025, and a retail collaboration with Flora Cheong-Leen with the Tian Art Foundation.
