For the Rebirth collection, the brand praises consumers who returned pre-worn jeans. The Reuse post-consumer Nudie Jeans were then recycled, resulting in a new denim fabric made from the fibres for the Rebirth collection.
The production of 97.7% sustainable products, according to the brand’s Sustainable Material Tool, referred to any garment or accessory that contains at least 70% sustainable fibres.
Nudie’s report also highlighted that this was the second full year in which the brand used 100% organic cotton. And, during 2019, the brand “extended the payment of living wages to employees throughout the manufacturing chain, from spinning, dyeing and knitting to the garment manufacturing phases, including printing and laundry, for our T-shirt, sweatshirt and underwear production in India”.
