Nudie collaborates on launch of lifetime-guarantee jeans

Nudie Jeans and Amsterdam-based denim retailer Tenue de Nîmes recently teamed up on the launch of a limited edition option for Nudie’s new selvage jeans — the ‘Gritty Jackson’. For the launch, 100 hand-numbered pairs were available at Tenue de Ni^mes’ store and website.
Head designer Martin Gustafsson said Gritty Jackson fills a void within Nudie Jeans’ fit-range, with a classic regular straight fit that is “not too slim nor too relaxed”. The jeans are a straight fit using Japanese selvage fabric, manufactured in an Italian denim factory.
Both companies said they are focused on sustainability, and the jeans come with a guarantee of free lifetime repairs.
“The production of denim around the world has always been singled out and labeled ‘unsustainable’,” said Menno van Meurs, founder of Tenue de Nîmes. However, he said, "to us, there is no piece of clothing more sustainable than wearing a pair of raw denim jeans. So let us embrace the naked truth about sustainability and start wearing those rigid jeans for many years to come”.
