Cotton On gives update on its “denim journey”

Australian retailer Cotton On said the upcoming weeks will see the group “celebrating” its efforts to produce denim apparel with sustainably-sourced cotton, and has given an update on where the group is in its “denim journey”.
Currently, there are two key elements of their efforts the Australian retailer is highlighting: the use of Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) cotton in its products and a move toward introducing recycled cotton.
“The good news is all our denim supports sustainably sourced cotton, and we’re committed to making sure it stays that way – forever,” the company said. There will be continued work in areas of “sourcing more sustainable materials, finding ways to use less water and fewer harmful chemicals, and protecting workers’ rights in our global supply chain”.
Consumers will also be seeing more inclusive size ranges. “Everyone should be a denim die-hard, no matter your size,” according to the company.
