Sourcing platform uses marketing know-how to link denim supply chain

A new platform that aims to unite denim mills, brands and distribution companies has been set up in response to the pandemic-driven acceleration of online sales.

Denimazing founder Laura Pianazza said she noted a fragmentation of services offered online and says there is a lack of integration between technology and marketing strategies.

Fabric makers can sell material by the metre through 3D presentations, and customers can virtually visit their showrooms. Brands will be able to sell product, benefiting from virtual tours of showrooms, and access areas for videocalls with customers. Virtual rooms will also be available for raw materials suppliers to speak with brands and fabric companies. 

Denimazing will also provide avenues for marketing and advertising, as well as web and social media strategies.
