Tailor made: Berto founds Su Misura

Italy-based denim maker Berto has launched Su Misura (meaning “tailored”), a supply service specifically geared towards start-ups.
With Su Misura, early-stage brands from the fashion, interiors and homeware industries are actively encouraged to join hands with Berto, without the need to place minimum orders.
The producer said it will offer young companies a “first-choice” selection of fabrics, in addition to high-quality, premium materials and fast delivery.
Beyond just catering to market demand, Berto described its main objective as to help designers at the start of their careers, perhaps yet unable to afford to place high-volume orders. It also notably desires to mitigate against wasteful overproduction, it said. A dedicated digital showroom is now live, built to provide a high-definition look at all in-stock Su Misura fabrics, including information on price, composition and available quantities.
“Helping new talents to grow and emerge in the competitive fashion world has always been very important to us," commented Berto's chief executive, Flavio Berto. “The Su Misura collection ranges from 100% denim fabrics to printed or dyed fabrics with unique weaves, all certified to Oeko-Tex standards.”
