Polygiene sets ambitious targets

Anti-odour and anti-microbial technology provider Polygiene has reported full-year sales revenues for 2021 of 181.6 million Swedish kronor, the equivalent at current prices of just under €17 million. This represents an increase of 116% compared to 2020.

It has set itself the target of growing its net sales by more than five times to reach 1 billion Swedish kronor by 2026. It has said it will aim to achieve this through organic growth and by an ambitious acquisition strategy.

Chief executive, Ulrika Björk, said: “It is a challenging goal, but realistic and achievable if we are successful in continuing to build value for our partners, to maintain brand relevance, and to create consumer demand.”

Polygiene’s recent highlights include an agreement with denim brand Diesel. After collecting used jeans, Diesel is now treating them with Polygiene’s ViralOff and Odor Crunch technologies before putting the products up for sale again as Diesel Second Hand with a red logo stamped over the jeans’ backpatch.
