Polygiene to focus on new finishes as 2024 heralds recovery

03/01/2024
Antimicrobial and finishes maker Polygiene said it will focus on expanding its new technologies and refocusing the protection business during 2024.

In November, it published details of a new finish, ShedGuard, that it claims could reduce microfibre shedding by up to 70% and which was recognised as the Best Product at ISPO Textrends in the Performing Finishes category.

The UK side of the business has been reinforced with additional sales and marketing resources.

Ulrika Björk, CEO of Polygiene Group, said: "We are witnessing clear signs of recovery, with both sides of the business, and our primary focus now is to support and maintain profitable growth.

"The Q4 outlook indicates we are on the way to grow quarter by quarter, and the January forecast is positive.

"With new products in our portfolio and a more streamlined organisation, there is substantial evidence that 2024 will mark the turning point after a challenging 2023.”
