New dates for BPD Washhouse’s ‘Denim 101’

Denim laundry and design development hub BPD Washhouse, based in Jersey City, has announced that its next round of two-day “Denim 101” classes will be held over July 27-28.
Sign-up is now open for both groups of up to eight people and individual attendees, who will be joined by three other solo students. Designed for a “hands-on” experience, the classes are in-person and priced at $1,200 per head.
On the first day, all learners will receive instruction in denim manufacturing and how to work with vendors, followed by practical tuition in laundry techniques and processes. Day two will be dedicated to experimentation on garments, including various fabric dyeing and lasering applications.
Separately, BPD Washhouse recently went live with a curated e-commerce offer consisting of vintage denim from the collection of owner Bill Curtin, in addition to articles previously processed at its facility.
