China's cotton yarn imports on track for 10-year low

Figures for the first nine months of this year, quoted by the South China Morning Post, show cotton yarn imports with a value of $2.8 billion, a decline of 33% year on year.
The newspaper said challenging trade relations with the US, restrictions in place to control covid-19 and a number of other supply chain disruption had limited production output.
