Denim mill Candiani has united with Blue Blanket designer Antonio Di Battista on a shuttle-loomed jeans capsule, designed to “combine ethics and authentic aesthetics, as only the centuries-old Italian heritage can”.

The collection thus deliberately harks back to denim’s Genoese roots, the Italy-based collaborators said, through harnessing Candiani’s selvedge-making expertise. It forms part of the manufacturer’s dedicated Candiani Riserva line.

“Remember that denim is the only fabric that becomes more beautiful with age”, they added, advising that customers wait at least ten wears before washing their jeans, to help reduce post-purchase ecological impact.
