Course will help tackle fibre loss, TMC says

The Microfibre Consortium, which works to encourage brands and retailers to take steps to control fibre fragmentation and microfibre pollution, has launched an online course on reducing the release of microfibres into wastewater during production processes.

It has developed the new e-learning project in partnership with the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) programme and made it available globally from February 12.

The course identifies approaches and best practices that can be taken throughout the supply chain, to support positive change within manufacturing.

Chief executive of The Microfibre Consortium, Dr Kelly Sheridan (pictured), said: “This easy-to-access training course has been carefully developed to suggest viable actions that manufacturers can take to mitigate fibre loss to the environment.”
