Milano Unica ‘increasingly attractive’ organisers say

The organisers of Milano Unica have put the total number of exhibitors at the July 2024 edition at 569.
Of these, 454 were Italian companies, which was an increase of 18% compared to the same edition of the show last summer.

The other exhibitors, numbering 115, were all from other European countries. The growth in non-Italian exhibitors was 47% year on year, the Milano Unica team said.

It went on to say that, taking the show’s research and innovation area into account too, the total number of exhibitors was more than 700, an increase of 18% year on year.

Milano Unica president, Simone Canclini (pictured), said this edition of the event had been a great success. He said it was becoming increasingly attractive in the international textile market.

There were 5,541 visitors over the three days, up by 19%. Of these, 3,403 were from Italy and 2,138 from other textile-buying markets. Organisers said there were large increases in visitor numbers from France, Spain, China, Germany, the UK, South Korea, Japan and the US.

“This was also an important injection of trust,” Mr Canclini said, “despite the difficult scenario of the first months of 2024.”
