YKK recognised with ‘A’ rating by CDP
Zips and trims manufacturer YKK Corporation has achieved the A List rating in the 2024 Climate Change survey conducted by the global environmental disclosure nonprofit Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) This marks the second consecutive year YKK has received the recognition.
YKK’s Sustainability Vision 2050 aims for climate neutrality by 2050. The company plans to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions—Scope 1, 2, and 3—by 90% from 2018 levels, in line with the net-zero target outlined by the Science Based Targets (SBT) initiative.
Minoru Maeda, general manager of the environment and safety management department at YKK Corporation, said: “We are implementing various measures such as energy conservation and renewable energy, while maintaining high transparency in our information disclosure.
