AM prepares for NY as it announces Mexican set-up

Pakistan-based Artistic Milliners will feature offerings from across its divisions - Artistic Milliners, ArtMill, Star Fades International (SFI) and Artistic Milliners Mexico (A Mexico), its new denim facility in Parras, a former Dickie's facility– at Kingpins New York on July 23 and 24.

Making its official debut at the show, AM Mexico will present a capsule collection created in collaboration with Cone Denim, a regional partner.

The 25-piece collection was designed by Star Fades Studios, Artistic Milliners’ in-house design and development arm, using fabrics sourced from Cone’s mill in Parras. The washes — developed by Artistic Milliners — use HMS stones and feature low-water, low-energy and PP-free techniques.

Also on display will be SFI’s autumn/winter 2026 collection, titled 'Future Ruin'. The 25-garment line-up, a mix of denim and knit pieces, showcases a raw, punk-inspired aesthetic. Designed by Kiwi Louis, the collection includes oversized and unisex silhouettes with moto and punk styling.

The show also marks the introduction of Melanie Balasa-Flottman as vice-president of global apparel innovation and design at Artistic Milliners. Her prior roles include design director of private label denim at Macy’s and principal denim designer at Target.

Ms Balasa-Flottman said: “I’m thrilled to join Artistic Milliners, working alongside the inspiring leadership of Murtaza and Omer Ahmed. After over a decade of collaborating to build products we’re proud of, I’m excited to drive innovation and elevate our vision together.”
