Sri Lanka seminar a success for CCI
US cotton export promotions organisation Cotton Council International (CCI) has successfully hosted a seminar on sustainability in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Stakeholders representing the textile and apparel sector in Sri Lanka and in other parts of Asia attended the event, using it to explore sourcing opportunities.
CCI representative for India and Sri Lanka, Peush Narang, said afterwards that the seminar had provided the opportunity to foster “informed, business-focused dialogue on how US cotton can support sustainable apparel manufacturing in the region”.
He said the seminar had also served to strengthen ties between US cotton suppliers and manufacturers in the region.
