Corduroy collaboration
Uniqlo and Comptoir des Cotonniers, both owned by Japan’s Fast Retailing, have a long-standing collaboration of creating capsule collections that infuse the fast fashion retailer’s ranges with a touch of French flair.

The newest collection features corduroy, a perennial classic. It is the core fabric of the six-piece range that includes a pair of barrel pants, a miniskirt and a cropped jacket in navy, red, forest green, chocolate and off-white.

Comptoir des Cotonniers, along with Princesse Tam-Tam, which Fast Retailing acquired in 2005, have, like many French retailers, been struggling lately. Together they operate some 100 stores and employ 500 people, and were placed in receivership in early July.
