Beximco Textiles set to reopen

20/11/2025
Revival, a Japanese-Bangladeshi group, has announced it will be leasing the Beximco Textile facility which had closed at the end of last year. Revival Group and Revival Projects, which are leading the move, have secured financial support from state-owned bank Janata and Ecomilli, an organisation based in the US and founded by Bangladeshi professionals. Revival and Ecomilli will contribute $20 million in a first phase, a sum that could extend to $100 million if factory performance and global demand support such an investment.

Production could begin as early as December, and provide jobs to 25,000 workers.

Seeking to avoid the financial troubles that led to Beximco’s downfall, Revival Group and Revival Projects intend to apply Japanese management systems and appoint a ‘Big Four’ accounting firm to ensure ethical governance.
