H&M x Unspun custom body scan jeans

An infrared 360-degree body scanner, made by Hong Kong’s TG3D Studio, takes a customer’s unique body measurements during a 10-second body scan, which subsequently creates a custom digital avatar by picking up on anything that has a surface temperature. Customers are then guided to select the fit, style and fabric of their jeans.
While the in-store process is relatively quick, the final pair of jeans - sold at a “premium” price point - will take around two to three weeks to arrive.
Unspun also has scanners in its zero-inventory stores in Hong Kong and San Francisco and sells its own jeans via a mobile app.
The H&M pilot is set to launch on an appointment-only basis on November 5.
