VF snaps up sought-after Supreme
Outdoor group VF Corp has bought streetwear Supreme, following collaborations with Vans, The North Face and Timberland.

The group estimates it will add $500 million of revenue in fiscal 2022 and “a $1 billion global opportunity over time”.

Supreme has an almost cult status among fans who often queue for many hours, or pay high prices, for limited-edition stock.

The Supreme brand’s founder, James Jebbia, and the senior leadership team of the brand will remain with the company, headquartered in New York.

Mr Jebbia said: “This partnership will maintain our unique culture and independence, while allowing us to grow on the same path we’ve been on since 1994.”

VF owned Wrangler and Lee until it spun off the denim business into Kontoor in 2018.
