AGI to set up post-consumer fibre recovery operation

Karachi-based denim fabric and garments producer AGI Denim has said it will launch its own post-consumer use fibre recovery programme later this year.
On making the announcement, company director, Hasan Javed, said: “We want to shred used garments and create our own post-consumer waste fibre.” He said this was part of a wider expansion plan, which will also include putting in place a new spinning mill.
Chief executive, Javed Ahmed, said AGI Denim wanted to become known as “the most responsible company” in the textile sector in Pakistan.
