Denim producer ISKO is a contributor to a new online course on fashion sustainability that the Paris-based Institut Français de la Mode has launched.

Developed as part of a partnership between IFM and luxury group Kering, the course will run for 10 weeks. It will examine the importance of sustainability in fashion and invite students and experienced fashion professionals to learn how they can play a role in shaping a sustainable future for the industry.

Content includes the history and values of sustainable development and how this relates to the fashion industry, as well as the practicalities of creating and executing a corporate social responsibility and sustainability strategy.

ISKO’s contribution is a video presentation that offers insight into its sustainability strategy, Responsible Innovation. strategy and how it approaches its role as a leader in sustainability for denim production.

Its global field marketing manager, Elena Faleschini, said she thought the course would give participants “the knowledge and tools to become the change-makers we need in the industry”.
