Nexia introduces next generation laser machines

In addition to its washing and dyeing machines, Italy-based Nexia is also a maker of laser machines offering high performance engraving and decoration options.

Its latest generation machines, Nexia NRay 2 Compact and NRay 4, contribute to sustainable denim production and can reproduce all special effects a denim brand could conceive of, including customised patterns, whiskers, breakage and sandblasting effects on denim garments or fabrics all in one step, the company says.

Both devices are equipped with a lower conveyor belt that returns garments to the loading area already turned upside down automatically, which avoids waste of time in operations and contributes to faster production times.

The Nexia NRAY 4 can apply laser finishing both horizontally and vertically thanks to its double conveyor belt and double rotating mannequins. “This allows customers to work faster and in two different areas, on the conveyor belt and on the mannequins, for double production,” a company spokesperson says.

The company has also upgraded its software with a new algorithm. It can create “worn look” effects by optimising the full power of the system. This, the company says, ensures continuous production and high performance.

“The versality offered by our new high-speed scanning heads and the double sources managed by our software allows infinite possibilities for creations and decorations with minimum resources, as it has the three different marking areas, 1600 x 1600 up to 800 x 800 for high-definition results,” it goes on to say.

Nexia points out that laser processing contributes considerably to improved production processes thanks to its wide range of applications, variety of effects possible and reduced power consumption. In addition to saving production time and costs, it has been designed to ensure maximum safety and efficiency for workers during all operation phases.

Made in Italy, Nexia’s laser equipment deliver high accuracy and repeatability of results, quality and production speed, to manufacture eco-friendly and sustainable garments, it says.
