Pakistan country manager for H&M talks up renewable-fibre potential

29/07/2022

The country manager in Pakistan for fashion group H&M, Farhan Waseem, has insisted the company’s priorities are to find materials that “make the most difference as far as sustainability is concerned”.

Speaking recently at an event in Islamabad, Mr Waseem said that at H&M “we believe in 100% circular and renewable” and was intent on showing how much potential there is for using recycled fibre “as a major source of raw materials”.

Manufacturers in Pakistan constitute the second-largest denim supply market for H&M around the world and, overall, the sixth-largest for apparel.
