Refibra and Circulose feed into H&M capsule
Swedish retailer H&M has launched an eight-piece menswear denim capsule made using a combination of Circulose viscose, manufactured by Renewcell, alongside Lenzing’s Tencel lyocell with Refibra technology.

Not unlike Circulose, Refibra is created from cotton pulp produced from textile waste. This pulp is then mixed with wood pulp, representing up to one third of the final combination, before ultimately being transformed into Tencel lyocell fibres.

The process of making the collection in question also involved incorporating recycled cotton fibres, H&M said, resulting in denim fabrics which are softer to the touch and “more fluid” in nature, it added.

Inspired by East Asian streetwear and classic American workwear, the capsule ranges from loose-fit, five-pocket jeans to oversized button-downs and jackets, in addition to a hooded zip jacket. Everything comes in a rich indigo hue, tempered by a stonewashed finish.
