Consolidation in sustainability consulting
Global consultancy firm Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has announced the acquisition of Quantis, an environmental sustainability consultancy founded in 2006, based in Switzerland and with offices around the world.

This move is described as strengthening BCG’s climate and sustainability expertise. Quantis has a staff of more than 270 experts in environmental issues and business transformation. It is involved in a number of cross-industry projects including the EU’s PEF (Product Environmental Footprint) platform, measuring microplastic pollution through the Plastic Leak Project, or assessing the impacts of chemical recycling.

BCG, founded in 1963, is also active in sustainability and industry. The organisation has authored several reports on the specific impacts of the textile and apparel sectors, including “The Pulse of the Fashion Industry” with the Global Fashion Agenda (GFA) and the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC).

Christoph Schweizer, BCG CEO, commented on the acquisition of Quantis: “In addition to strengthening BCG with the acquisition of Quantis, we plan to recruit thousands more climate and sustainability experts over the coming years and continuing to expand our network of partners.”
