Kingpins launch for new Calik Denim collection

Carefully selected raw materials including hemp, organic and recycled cotton, as well as regenerative cotton deriving from farms that work to support soil health and restore carbon in the earth are features of Calik Denim’s autumn-winter 2024-2025 collection.

This new collection, which the company has called ‘Reviviscence’, was on display at Kingpins in Amsterdam in April.

The B210 biodegradable denim fabric that the Turkish mill introduced in 2022 also features in the new collection. B210 is a technology that Calik is able to add to its whole range of denim fabrics. It chose this name because it confirms that more than 99% of material to which it applies the technology will biodegrade in nature within 210 days.

E-Last, the group’s power-stretch product range, is also part of Reviviscence. This technology offers time and energy savings through pattern optimisation, Calik says, and delivers fabrics that “fit like the first time every time”, avoiding a baggy or saggy look and puckering problems.

Other elements of the new collection include Rawtech, which produces fabrics with very low weft shrinkage values to preserve a ‘raw’ look for a long time, and RE/J, which gives a vintage-authentic denim look with 100% pre- and post-consumer recycled content.
