Newness from Naveena at Kingpins
Innovations presented by Karachi denim mill Naveena at the Kingpins Amsterdam trade show earlier in April included brushed denims, an expanded range of colour-fast Solido fabrics, fresh “smokey indigo” and “dark indigo” hues and new linen and wool blends, created with an eye to the trend for improved thermal regulation.
Fabrics on display at the company’s booth over the two-day fair were chosen from among several of its ranges, such as Flex-Ease stretch denims, wool-blend Lanamax fabrics, Lino+ linen fabrics made with post-industrial waste, cottonised Duramax denims containing Lycra lastingFIT 2.0 technology, Coolwaste cooling fabrics created from 100% recycled textile waste, “cashmere-feel” Lush comfort fabrics, plus more. Its denim-look Solido fabrics, also on display, have been shown to retain their original colour after 20-plus home launderings, Naveena said.
In addition, the producer notably supplied fabrics for the denim jackets and trousers that Turkey-based manufacturer Chantuque custom-made for event staff, which Naveena’s head of global sales and marketing, Aydan Tuzun, called “the best example of co-creation”.
