S Oliver becomes Retraced strategic partner
Fashion retail group S Oliver has signed a strategic deal with fellow Germany-based firm Retraced, a specialist developer of supply chain traceability management tools.
The partners will collaborate on building out the platform and improving its capacity for risk prevention, digital risk management and detecting human rights issues.
Beginning with tier one, S Oliver will onboard its suppliers progressively, it said, with the ultimate objective being to ensure full traceability of every product sold via Retraced's systems.
Group chief operating officer, Oliver Hein, commented: “International supply chains are complex and dynamic. We are aware that with greater transparency comes greater accountability.
“However, this is necessary in order to define targeted measures and ensure their effectiveness. Only in this way can we take a holistic view of social and environmental responsibility and continue to develop.”
