‘Groundbreaking’ viscose fibre in new Advance Denim collection

18/10/2023

Denim mill Advance Denim launched a first collection made using a blend that includes 50% high-tenacity viscose fibre from Grace. Chinese fibre developer Grace has used Circulose pulp fibre from Renewcell to make the viscose product, which it has called Gracell x CIRCULOSE.

Advance Denim has introduced its collection at Kingpins Amsterdam on October 18 and said it was the first mill to use a viscose fibre with such a high level of Circulose content. Renewcell makes its Circulose dissolving pulp from 100% recycled textiles.

Fabrics Advance Denim has included in the new collection are a 10.4 ounce super-soft comfort stretch blend of Gracell x CIRCULOSE, cotton, recycled cotton and spandex, plus a 9.4 ounce performance stretch fabric with cotton, recycled cotton, Lycra and Lycra T400 fibres, with Gracell x CIRCULOSE.

General manager of Advance Denim, Amy Wang, said the company was excited to continue its “ongoing commitment to sustainable innovation by partnering with Grace to bring this groundbreaking new fibre to the market”.
