Advance’s novelties underpinned by recycled indigo

Chinese headquartered mill Advance Denim’s latest collection includes fabrics dyed using a system that recycles indigo, purifying it and feeding it back into the system.

Blue Loop offers the dual benefit of reducing waste and eliminating the need to clean the indigo from waste water, said the manufacturer.

At Kingpins in Amsterdam, the mill showcased a collection using Lycra’s FitSense targeted shaping technology, working in collaboration with Crystal Denim to create the garments.

A new yarn developed by a Japanese company enables stretch fabrics with uniform shrinkage, so garment makers can use the same pattern for different fabrics; while Deep Glow fabrics include a yarn with a colour in the centre, so when the surrounding indigo wears down, unique colour patterns are formed.
