Istanbul to host Better Cotton conference

31/05/2024
After Amsterdam, Istanbul will be hosting the 2024 Better Cotton conference next June 26 and 27.

Key topics for this year’s event will be focusing on ‘accelerating change’. The two-day event will open on the theme of “putting people first”, and specifically ensuring living wages for cotton growers.

The keynote on driving change on the field will be delivered by Lewis Perkins, president of the Apparel Impact Institute, an organisation seeking to find funding and solutions to help the apparel and footwear industries lessen their environmental impact.

The second day will be dedicated to policy trends and measuring impacts. Epic Group’s head of innovation and sustainability, Dr. Vidhura Ralapanawe, will be delivering the keynote and several talks will be investigating the advantages and limits of life cycle assessments (LCAs).

Better Cotton expects that over 250 will join the event, in person or online.
