Sustainability Talks begin next week in Istanbul

Organisers, Orbit Consulting and Kipas Denim, with support from strategic partner the Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters’ Association (ITHIB), have released the official programme for the event, which now takes place on a single day instead of two previously.
Two first keynotes will be delivered by supply chain specialists Giuseppe Gherzi, of the namesake Swiss consultancy, and Hakan Karaosman, a professor at Cardiff University. They will be followed by a panel talk on sustainability across the industry, with Re&Up, brila Cellulose and Archroma.
A second panel talk will discuss the evolution of circular solutions with representatives from Lacoste, Naia, Unifi and Control Union. Accelerating Circularity founder and CEO Karla Magruder will be moderating the discussion.
Ecodesign is the topic of a third panel talk, with representatives from Säntis, Urban Outfitters, Spinnova and Temsan Air. It will be followed by a round table on decarbonisation, and the event closes with a discussion of Nordic examples of circular solutions for the textile industry, with UPM Biochemicals and TreeToTextile.
