Based in Vietnam, Ecosoi turns pineapple leaves into textiles fibres, and has recently presented its first denim fabrics.

A vertically-integrated mill, it can produce fibre, yarns and fabrics.

Ecosoi was founded in 2021 by Vu Lieu, CEO, who is now working on developing fibre separation machines. Vietnam produced 700,000 tonnes of pineapples in 2022, leaving 3 million tonnes of leaves to waste. Piñatex is one of the company's partners in developing the market for pineapple fibres.

In time, she also expects to expand to other natural fibres made from crop waste, such as banana.
