Making a case for near-shoring
Mexico-based Global Denim has teamed up with technology supplier Jeanologia and The Lycra Company to create a capsule collection highlighting the potential and advantages of re-shoring production to the Americas.
The collection, named Oneness, was entirely made and finished in the Americas. It features 11 styles in various fits and fabrics highlighting in particular the range of stretch solutions that Global Denim offers, from body-hugging hyper-stretch styles to comfort stretch.
The Lycra Company’s Lycra dualFX and Lycra lasting Fit fibres are present in the range along with Thermolite and Coolmax Ecomade performance fibres that offer warmth or cool comfort.
The finishing processes took place at Jeanologia’s Miami innovation hub where laser, ozone and the company’s latest Atmos concept were used to create stonewashed looks without stones.
Global Denim will present the collection at its booth at Kingpins next week in New York.
