Kingpins NYC prepares 20th anniversary
Kingpins NYC opens on July 17 and 18, at Pier 36/Basketball City, a 70,000 square-foot facility located on the East River. For this edition, 80+ exhibitors will be showing their new products and ranges.

The line-up of seminars has been posted with an overview of the denim market by Kristen Classi-Zummo, apparel industry advisor for Circana, born from the merger of NPD and IRI. Tricia Carey, Billy McCall (Kintra Fibers) and Ampelio Del Lago (Siddiqsons) will discuss innovation ‘from the lab to the loom’. Danielle Elsener, co-founder of zero waste design system Decode and Michelle Branch, of Markt & Twigs, will delve into ‘future fits’. And Amy Leverton and Shannon Reddy of Denim Dudes will be presenting the trends for Autumn/Winter 25-26.

Creative spaces dedicated to out-of-the-box thinking will be featured on the show floor, with a section curated by Kingpins Show + Friends, the LilDenimJeans Digital Jeans Museum and Recycled Denim to Mycelium Constructs, a space curated by AGI Denim and Evocative.

A number of celebrations are also in the works in honour of the denim show’s 20 years, with a 5-to-7-pm happy hour at the end of the first day, a community pop-up fashion show, a pool party co-sponsored by Artistic Milliners and a special treat by The Lycra Company and AFM.

The very first Kingpins show was held on July 13 and 14, 2004, twenty years ago nearly to the day.
