UK denim brand Dawson Denim is hosting a launch party for ‘Denim: The Fabric That Built America 1935-1944’ on October 24 at its Brighton store.

The collection of 250 images is drawn from the archives of the US Farm Security Administration and Office of War Information, showing denin worn by workers as they built America out of the Great Depression and into post-war prosperity.

On the night, denim historian Graham Marsh will join editor Tony Nourmand for "an evening of denim history and conversation”.

Dawson said: “This is a rare opportunity to hear directly from two leading experts on denim, explore a one-of-a-kind photography collection, and perhaps even get your hands on a signed copy of the book.”
