Strategic partnership in sustainable dyeing

Re-Matters was formed last year to fill in a gap in a future circular textile economy (see our feature here), as a new division of jeans-maker Ereks Blue Matters, based Turkey and known for its commitment to sustainability.
The two partners will be focusing on Colourizd’s QuantumCOLOUR technology which gives yarns or fabrics a faded look from the start, removing the need for further bleaching or fading. It preserves the quality and strength of fibres and requires very little water (1 litre per kg of yarn), without generating any effluent.
Both companies will be exhibiting at this year’s Textile Exchange Conference in Pasadena (October 28 to 31).
