Kiabi ushers in jeans made in France

In a collaboration with Denim Centre, based in the north of France, French retailer Kiabi has created a capsule collection of jeans made in the advanced manufacturing unit. Established in 2021, this industry 4.0 facility also known as Denim Cube, is owned and operated by leading French retailer Mulliez Group.
The jeans are made from a denim fabric composed of 31% recycled cotton, 67% virgin cotton grown in Spain, and 2% elastane. The collection, launched to coincide with the MIF Made in France Expo (November 8 to 11), was produced in a run of 15,000 pairs.
“Through this partnership with the Denim Centre, we want to step up our game in denim so that we can offer our customers ever more beautiful, high-quality products at the best possible price,” commented Fanny Desmazière, denim market manager for Kiabi.
With revenues of €2.2 billion in 2023, Kiabi operates 632 stores in 31 countries.
