French retailer Kiabi joins Denim Deal
02/12/2025
The Mulliez family-owned retailer has been progressively increasing the proportion of lower impact fibres in its collections. It said that these now make up 86% of its fibre use and intends to bring this proportion to 95%, including 25% recycled fibres, by the end of this year.
Kiabi introduced its first Denim Deal-ready jeans in 2024. The denim fabric was made from 67% virgin cotton and 33% recycled cotton and the jeans were produced in France, at the Denim Centre, an automated facility located in Neuville-en-Ferrain, in the north of France. An experience that helped contribute to the Denim Deal’s technical expertise. The low-priced retailer is based in Hem, close to Roubaix, its network of 600+ stores brought in revenues of €2.5 billion in 2024 (up 5% compared to 2023).
