Water-saving target in site for Ateliers de Nîmes
Denim brand Ateliers de Nîmes has said it is on course to make a saving of 750 cubic-metres of water in 2025.
The company launched as a jeans brand in 2014 but took time during lockdowns in the covid-19 pandemic to set up its a fabric-weaving facility at its workshop.
It is using the denim fabric it weaves to make its own jeans, with its production now close to 20,000 pairs per year.
In recent comments to local media, it said water-saving techniques it has developed at the workshop have put it on track to save 40 litres of water for each pair of jeans it makes.
