New autumn collection signals Jordache comeback
Jordache, one of the early designer jeans brands, is introducing nine new styles this autumn that draw on its icons updated to appeal to today’s generation. Founded by four brothers Joe, Ralph, David and Avi Nakash, in 1978, the label has been endorsed by prominent celebrities including Brooke Shields, Sarah Jessica Parker and Heidi Klum.

The family-owned brand is now part of a highly diversified group that operates in airlines, ports, malls and hotels. It owns a series of other jeans brands, XOXO, Dittos, Gasoline, Earl Jean and Jetlag, and manufactures private label denim out of its two factories in Dhaka, Bangladesh and Madagascar.

The new range is being offered at a slightly higher price point, ranging from $48 to $108, and will be released on October 15 on the brand’s e-commerce site.

The new styles include bootcut jeans, named after its campaign star Brooke Shields, wide leg trousers and denim jackets. A denim jacquard design is inspired by Japanese Boro patching. The fades are achieved through lasering, instead of traditional washing, in a move to promote more sustainable solutions.
